About

Dr. Mohammed Mayhoub obtained his PhD degree from the University of Liverpool, UK. He is involved in the environment and process group. His work in architectural lighting focuses on hybrid lighting systems, their efficiency, costs and benefits, influences on buildings and users, potential applications in different buildings and over different geographical locations, potential energy saving, and design methods of innovative daylighting systems. The process of obtaining the degree is expected to be accomplished by the end of September 2011. Significant findings have been already published in high-reputation journals and conferences.

Dr. Mayhoub gained both academic experience as associated lecturer, and professional experience as an architect. Since he received the Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree with honor (2001) from Al-Azher University, Cairo, Egypt, he is practicing architecture in multinational engineering consultant firms.  Later, 2003, he joined the faculty of engineering,  Al-Azhar University as a demonstrator, then upgraded in 2006 after receiving the Master degree to hold the position of associated lecturer until his leave to the University of Liverpool.
